Creating 3Blue1Brown-Inspired Video Resources for USYD Aerodynamics 1
Aerodynamics 1 (AERO3260) was one of my favourite courses in the entire degree, but it is also notoriously difficult, with one of the highest fail rates. The mathematics in the course is complex, and the course demands that students map these concepts onto airflow which they cannot see. I am working with the teaching team to bridge this gap by creating animations to visualise the mathematical concepts and how they map to aerodynamics.

Evaluating a Machine Learning Trend Factor using 500+ Cryptocurrencies
I was interested in a paper which using elastic net regression to evaluate the predictive capability of 28 commonly used technical indicators at a weekly time frequency and dynamically create a new aggregate trend factor. The paper's test period was from 2018 to 2022, which was not a difficult time to profit from crypto, so I aimed to re-evaluate the trend factor in the subsequent 4 years.

Making a Custom Hall Effect Keyboard
The adoption of "Hall Effect" sensors in keyboards is a recent development, and has become very popular amongst competitive gaming communities. Hall Effect, or simply "HE", keyboards differ significantly from tradition keyboards, as they output an analogue signal as opposed to the traditional digital signal from membrane or mechanical keyboards. I wanted to learn some new skills and try to design and manufacture my own custom HE keyboard.

Modelling Stall Cells Using the Biot-Savart Law
Stall cells are a three dimensional aerodynamic phenomenon that occurs as an aerofoil begins to stall. The exact mechanism behind their formation is currently ambigious, so this investigation approached the phenomenon through the lens of potential flow theory to investigate the structure of the "vortex skeleton" during their formation.

This website counts as a project, right?
I had some time on my hands, so I decided to make a website as a hybrid portfolio/about-me page, as you can see.
